You Can Do That at the Library! In-Person
There's more than just books and disks at the library - if you venture online, you'll find a long list of additional free resources, most of which you can access from your own computer at home! In this session, we'll learn about several of these, including Fold3, a collection of historical U.S. military records that brings to life the details of America's military veterans with stories, photos, and personal documents; Home Improvement Reference Center, which features full-text content from leading home improvement magazines, images not found anywhere else online, and videos of popular home repair projects; Mango Languages, an interactive language-learning platform, offering more than 70 different languages and 18 different ESL courses; Very Short introductions, an excellent way to get a quick authoritative and accessible overview of a subject; and many others.
