Technology Coordinator (1-Year Contract)

Henderson Memorial Public Library

Henderson Memorial Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Technology Coordinator to join our team for a one-year, 20-hour-per-week contract position.

This position is funded through a grant project made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the State Library of Ohio.

Position Responsibilities

The Technology Coordinator will:

  • Develop and lead engaging technology programs for tweens and teens, including basic computer skills, coding, and artificial intelligence (AI) education.
  • Create and present technology classes and workshops for adults.
  • Assist library patrons with technology questions and provide one-on-one help with computers, smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
  • Help patrons navigate Microsoft, Google, and Apple products and platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them into library programming.
  • Work collaboratively with library staff to promote digital literacy throughout the community.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong knowledge of Microsoft, Google, and Apple products and platforms.
  • Be comfortable troubleshooting common technology issues and assisting patrons of all skill levels.
  • Enjoy working with children, tweens, teens, and adults.
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Experience teaching technology classes or leading educational programs is preferred.

  • Position: Technology Coordinator
  • Schedule: 20 hours per week
  • Term: One-year contract
