The Wider World In-Person

Join HMPL Adult Programs Coordinator, Diane Chido, to explore topics related to global affairs. The group will read a brief article on a new topic each month before attending and then discuss it. July's article is on Colombia's 50-year civil war and how it ended in 2016 and how the country is working on putting itself back together. Diane wrote this piece with one of her long-time students, Nick Bell, who recently graduated from Gannon University Erie with a BA in Public Service and Global Affairs. Nick is a native of Colombia and this article was adapted from his senior thesis. The article is available here or in hard copy at HMPL.
