"Troublesome" Ladies' Tea Celebrating Ashtabula County's Suffragists In-Person

To celebrate International Women's Day, HMPL is hosting a "troublesome" Ladies' Tea. The "Troublesome Women" we plan to celebrate are the suffragists of Ashtabula County. Women some at the time considered lacking in decorum and disruptive of society as they got into "good trouble." as the late civil Rights Champion John Lewis often said. We plan to serve finger sandwiches and other savories and pastries, and of course, tea. Favorite dresses, gloves, and hats are encouraged but optional.

The tea party begins at 12:30 with a presentation by Richard Dana on famous Ashtabula County Suffragists beginning at 1pm.
