Caring for Your Woods: First Steps In-Person
Join representatives from Working Woods at Holden Forests & Gardens to discuss where to start when it comes to woodland stewardship! We’ll cover how to set goals that align with your values and how to begin assessing the state of your forest, as well as provide you with take-home resources to help you take the first (or next) steps to becoming a better woodland steward. The purpose of this program is to:
- To provide previously uninvolved landowners entry into the world of forest management, and inform them of available resources
- Introduce first steps
- Offer resources like the Small Woodland Land Management Manual and Holden consulting forestry
