Business Seminar Series: Disaster Planning and Preparedness for Business

Business Seminar Series: Disaster Planning and Preparedness for Business In-Person

Corey Stickle from Emergency Management Agency will present crucial information on how to protect local businesses from disasters.

Topics addressed will include physical facility and staff security, as well as privacy issues such measures may affect, Continuity of Operations during disaster, and what kinds of disasters or work stoppages to anticipate and how the planning and mitigation process works. They will also include caveats about cyber threats, especially in areas like ours with limited or inconsistent internet availability, knowledge, and how to appropriately train staff to recognize that people tend to be the weakest link in security chains.

In partnership with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, HMPL is presenting a monthly series on business topics for community members who may be interested in these topics or who are considering improvements to or starting their own businesses. This is the first presentation in this series.
